English Yellow Chalk Paint

Chalk Paint™ is the versatile furniture paint developed by Annie Sloan in 1990. With no need for sanding or priming, you can simply pop open the tin, roll up your sleeves, dip in your brush and apply paint to furniture. Works on wood, metal, laminate, concrete, indoors, outdoors and beyond.

An English color from the development of Chrome Yellow pigment in the 18th Century and inspired by hand painted Chinese wallpaper. This was the first non-earthy yellow. It’s also a great fifties vintage color.

Technical information
1 liter is enough to cover approximately 13 square meters (140 square feet). After painting, seal indoor furniture with Chalk Paint® Wax. On floors, seal with Chalk Paint® Lacquer. Take a look at our Tips & Techniques section for more information and to help you get started.
