Emperor's Silk Chalk Paint

Chalk Paint™ is the versatile furniture paint developed by Annie Sloan in 1990. With no need for sanding or priming, you can simply pop open the tin, roll up your sleeves, dip in your brush and apply paint to furniture. Works on wood, metal, laminate, concrete, indoors, outdoors and beyond.

Emperor's Silk is a bright pure red like the silk lining of a jacket. It is also the red of Chinese lacquer, especially when deepened with Black Chalk Paint® Wax. Use it in the interior of a cupboard or drawer for a pop of color.

Technical information
1 liter is enough to cover approximately 13 square meters (140 square feet). After painting, seal indoor furniture with Chalk Paint® Wax. On floors, seal with Chalk Paint® Lacquer. Take a look at our Tips & Techniques section for more information and to help you get started.
